Many ppl that play Delta Force Land Warrior Demo/remix/full version or Delta force 2 have a problem of "joining session" when they click a server in the lobby.
First of all check if your firewall is not blocking the game! If that's OK then try this:
It seems that the 'realtek high definition audio' sound card causes problems when joining sessions. This is because VON (voice over net the tool that allows you to speak in game) doesn't work with this sound card. There is a beta patch that will disable VON in your game. This way you will be able to play with sound! Download the patch:
Installation steps: download the patch from dfzone.be home page:
Click 'open':
Right click the disableVON.exe and click 'copy'
Now go to my computer and go to your installation folder of dflw demo. By default this is C:\program files\novalogic\delta force land warrior demo (maybe u changed this during installation so it can be diffrent!), right click in the folder and click 'paste'
Now double click the disableVON.exe file:
Click the 'start game' button to load the game. (You'll need to do this everytime):
You can create a shortcut (if u want to) to your desktop so you don't need to go to the my computer, C:\ ....
i downloaded it and all it does is make explorer open and close real fast and then i have to restart.
My game was working fine until yesterday i tried to play and when it got to joining session it locked up and have to close the game out. I have done nothing different than before so any help would be greatly appreciated
I am experiencing the same problems with my pc freezing on the joining server screen.
The realtek HD is the one i have so i tried to run your program to uninstall VON.
the only problem is that i cant join novaworld without using my dffavs, and when using dffavs, favs itself is starting my pc directly without first running "disable von program".
Do you have any tip or fix for this problem?
I do have the original Landwarrior but i am still not able to logon to Nova World, why?
This is my pc hard and soft ware:
Motherboard Gigabyte EP35-DS4
Cpu Intel core 2 quad q9550 2.83 ghz quad cpus
Graphic card Gigabyte HD4870X2 dual cpu 2ghz
ram ddr2 ozc reaper 8500 4gig at the mo, will upgrade to 8 gig on monday.
I am now running Windows XP64 bit, SP2
I played the game online two days ago on the same pc, then i had no sound cause i was running an old xp 32 bit with no service packs, realtek HD requires at least service pack 1, so yesterday after installing XP64bit, sp2 i was able to install and run realtek hd sound drivers, and unfortunately no longer my Landwarrior.
I do also have the same problem on Black Hawk Down, installed it yesterday and it will freeze as soon as i try to upgrade the game online. both of my Delta Force games is the original ones, so there is no crack that is giving me probs.
Let me know what you think, if you have found a way to use your program along tiwh the Dffavs.
there is a button in df favs that says 'make startup' click that button then startup the game through the patch that should work.
also:
->it's possible to start the patch after the game has started (by going back to windows and starting the patch, it will automatically detect that the game is already running and apply the patch to it).
->it seems if u wait like 10-15 sec the joining session automatically gets skipped in the game (my bro told me that)

I have a similar problem, only with steam and DF2. I can't find the DF2 directory anywhere on my computer.
try start->Search-> df2.exe then look in which directory it is located. You'll need to use the novaworld lobby i guess i don't know how steam works and if it will be able to let you play df2 online.
